Distinguished Lecture Series: Law Enforcement Panel

ABOUT EVENT

On October 11, 2018, the Center on Policing is excited to host a panel on the roles and responsibilities of New Jersey state, county, and local law enforcement as part of its Motorola Distinguished Lecture Series. The panel will feature:

  • Major Brandon Gray – New Jersey State Police
  • Director Veronica Allende – New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice
  • Director Anthony Ambrose – Newark Department of Public Safety
  • Chief of Detectives Mitchell McGuire – Essex County Prosecutor’s Office
  • Special Counsel to the Acting Prosecutor Robert Laurino – Essex County Prosecutor’s Office

There will be an opportunity to ask the panel questions regarding their career experiences.  The Center on Policing’s goal is to help students understand various career paths within the law enforcement community. The Center hopes this event will aid students in understanding the nature of the work and the skills needed for a law enforcement career.

October 11, 2018 6:00pm-9:00pm

Special event parking will be available in Lot 26, Lot 30, and the College Avenue Parking Deck. Guests should use the below link to register for the event. Until this process is completed their vehicles are not registered and your guests may receive a citation. Special event parking and special event permits are only for visitors to the University which does not include free metered parking. Faculty, Staff, and Students must park only in lots they are authorized to park in.
